On the 18 of July, 2005 the Constitutive Conference for creating the National Council of Aikido in Russia took place.

The biggest Russian Aikido Federations such as the Federation of Aikido Aikikai of Russia, All Styles Federation Aikido of Russia, The Federation of Aikido of Russia have become the establishers of the Council.

Sergey Vladilenovich Kirienko (the head of the Agency of Nuclear Power in Russian Federation and the co- chairman of the Russian Union of Martial Arts) was elected the President of the National Council of Aikido in Russia.

Kiselev Sergey Victorovich (the president of All Styles Federation Aikido of Russia) was elected the Vice President of the National Council of Aikido in Russia.

Egorov Nikolai Nikolayevich (the president of the Federation Aikido of Russia) was elected the Chairman of the NCAR executive committee.

The main aims for the National Council of Aikido in Russia are: " to put in order the process of aikido development in Russian Federation " to help the further qualifying training for aikido instructors, " working out the tips to provide the social defense for participants and instructors.
